Motorcycle Fatality on Busy Lincolnshire Road
A man in his 60s has tragically lost his life after his motorbike collided with a Suzuki Swift on a bustling local highway. The event took place on the A52, just outside of Boston, near the junction of B1192
Incident Details
The horrific incident happened around 3.45pm on Monday, October 9, and following the accident, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Lincolnshire Police have confirmed that the family of the deceased have been notified.
Road Closure and Disruptions
In the aftermath of the accident, the authorities closed the A52 in both directions from Westbridge Road to Fen Road. In a statement, Lincolnshire Police spokesperson stated that the closure was expected to last till Tuesday morning. However, the road was reopened by 9am.
Investigation Underway
Investigation into the cause and circumstances of the accident kept local law enforcement officers busy late into the evening. Lincolnshire Police arrived at the scene from around 4.40pm that day. They advised motorists to avoid the area and, as a result, nearby roads experienced heavy congestion.
