Major Lincolnshire Road Collision Sends Four to Hospital

A severe multiple vehicle collision on a primary Lincolnshire highway resulted in four individuals being rushed to the hospital. The accident happened on Wednesday, October 4 and involved three vehicles.

Details of the Accident

Lincolnshire Police records show that they received a call regarding the incident at 3.24pm. The crash allegedly involved a white Peugeot Boxer van, a grey Mercedes-Benz E Class car, and a silver Citroen Xsara car. The unfortunate event took place at the Swaton crossroads, specifically on the A52, at the junction with the B1394.

Injuries Sustained

As a result of this tragic incident, four people incurred injuries that required urgent medical attention. Among the injured, three suffered serious injuries which included the driver and a passenger in the Citroen car as well as the driver of the Mercedes-Benz.

Circumstances Leading to the Incident

From the information provided by the police, it appears that the Peugeot Boxer van was moving southward on the B1394 road. The Mercedes-Benz E class vehicle was heading west on the A52, while the Citroen Xsara was travelling east on the same A52 road when the accident occurred.

"The road was closed following the collision while emergency services attended. It is expected to re-open in the early hours of Thursday morning.
