Tragic Lincolnshire Crash Results in Loss of Two Young Lives
In a tragic event that has left a community in shock, two brothers, ages six and eight, have died following a road collision by the Lincolnshire coast. The devastating incident involved two vehicles - a Vauxhall Astra and an Audi A4, and occurred on the A52 at Sandilands on Monday, October 2nd.
The Fatal Accident
The brothers were in the back seat of the Vauxhall Astra, which was being driven by a woman in her 20s. Tragically, they didn't survive the horrific collision. A third child, also in the rear seat of the Astra, and the driver, are both in hospital, grappling with serious injuries.
Call for Witnesses
Lincolnshire police have issued an appeal to the public for help. Anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw either vehicle prior to the incident, is being urged to make contact. In particular, the police wish to speak to anyone who was travelling between Huttoft and Sandilands between 3:30 and 3:38 on the day of the accident, as that is when the tragic accident transpired.
"This is so very sad, and I send my deepest condolences to the family and friends of the two boys who have tragically died. I’d like to thank the witnesses who have already come forward and appeal to anyone who saw the collision or vehicle before the crash to get in touch," said Superintendent Lee Pache, Head of Specialist Operations for the Lincolnshire Police.
Audi Passengers’ Injuries
Meanwhile, the Audi also had victims who were seriously impacted by the collision. The rear-seat passenger of the Audi was rushed to the hospital with potentially life-altering and life-threatening injuries, while both the driver and front-seat passenger sustained less severe non-life-threatening injuries.
