Revamped 7-Day Bus Service Offers Improved Comfort for Riders
The daily bus service 505, travelling between Spalding in Lincolnshire and King's Lynn in Norfolk, has seen significant improvements, aiming to enhance journey comfort for passengers. The enhanced service is a joint effort between the Norfolk and Lincolnshire county councils.
Better Amenities, Greater Accessibility
Among the key improvements highlighted are the introduction of USB charging points, as well as low-level wheelchair access. Passengers will also benefit from re-trimmed seating and convenient LED destination displays. The buses have been freshly repainted to reflect the revamp, and the signs dotted along the routes have been updated to create clearer stops and provide accurate timetable information for travelers.
'Vital' For Travel Between Lincolnshire and Norfolk
Graham Plant, the cabinet member for highways, infrastructure, and transport at the Norfolk County Council, referred to the 505 service as 'vital'. He stated: "Hopefully, it will be well used with lots of passengers taking advantage of what's on offer across Lincolnshire and Norfolk."
Encouraging Greener Travel
The service runs every half hour from Monday to Saturday, while Sundays see buses every hour. Matt Cranwell, the Managing Director of Stagecoach East Midlands, further noted that with the current reduced price weekly and 28-day tickets, the 505 service offers an affordable, eco-friendly commuting solution. He also mentioned that further discounts are available for young passengers.
Matt stated: "The current reduced price weekly and 28-day tickets make the 505 a great choice for commuters, and there are further discounts for young people too, making it a green and cheap option to travel between Lincolnshire and Norfolk."
Bus Stop Locations
Passengers can catch the 505 from locations such as Spalding Bus Station, Springfields Outlet, Weston Church, Moulton Bell Lane, Moulton Harrox Square, and the Kings Lynn Interchange among others.
