Lincolnshire Police has reported a major incident on the A52 between Grantham and Osbournby, resulting in the road being closed in both directions. The serious collision occurred at around 3.30 pm on Thursday, October 12, close to the Haceby turn-off. Emergency services are currently at the scene responding.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police has asked motorists to steer clear of the area due to severe traffic congestion near the incident.

"Emergency services are dealing with a serious collision on the A52, near the Haceby turn-off, between Grantham and Osbournby. The road is closed in both directions. Please avoid the area."

A52 Traffic: Updates

Traffic monitoring services like Inrix report that the closure extends from the Haceby turn-off to the Ropsley turn-off. However, aside from the disrupted stretch, traffic appears to be flowing freely along other parts of the A52 according to Google Maps.

Those journeying between Grantham and Osbournby have been significantly impacted by the road closure. Lincolnshire Police will issue an update when more information is available. The force recounted the situation via their official Twitter account @LincsPolice:
