A16 in Lincolnshire Partially Closed Following Accident
An accident on the A16 Sibey Road in Lincolnshire, north of Boston, has resulted in the partial closure of the road, causing significant traffic congestion between the town of Boston and nearby Sibsey.
Road Closure and Congestion
The incident, reported around 2pm, forced the closure of the path between the Long Hedges turn-off and Pilleys Lane. Traffic has been mounting as a result, with motorists encountering slow-moving queues. Despite the closure, the route remains open for vehicular passage.
Diversion in Place
In response to the incident, a diversion plan has been initiated. This alternate route is facilitated by Brylaine bus service B4. While the A16 exhibits considerable congestion, connecting routes are apparently handling the overflow adequately.
Injury status Unclear
The severity of any injuries sustained from the crash remains unconfirmed at this time.
Lincolnshire Police were contacted but have yet to provide additional details regarding the incident.
"Inrix is reporting that traffic can now pass the scene following a full closure. The road is now only 'partially blocked'."
