Woman Accused of Attempted Murder in Lincolnshire

Attempted Murder Case in Lincolnshire Village Postponed

In a Lincolnshire village, a woman is accused of trying to murder two 10-year old boys. Ann Marie McEvoy, 39, a resident of Church Walk, Colchester, is alleged to have attempted this violent act at a Friskney estate, Fold Hill. The incident occurred on Tuesday, November 29, 2022.

Incident Details and Response

Following the incident, the police were alerted and armed forces reached the scene on Wednesday, November 30. Approximately eight hours later, just after 1am, McEvoy was taken into custody by the law enforcement. The young victims suffered from stab wounds, however, their injuries were not life-threatening.

No Appearance in Lincoln Crown Court

Ann Marie McEvoy was absent from the Lincoln Crown Court hearing held on Friday, October 20, and did not attend via video link either. Her Honour Judge Simon Hirst decided to adjourn the case, setting a date for a future hearing on Friday, December 8, 2023.

Court Representatives

The accused was represented by defence barrister Mark Knowles. The prosecutor on the case was Lauren Butts.

It's worth noting that this case has been postponed before, on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 and in December 2022.
