Kyle Coupland-Short Sentenced to Nine Years

A 29-year-old Louth man has been incarcerated for nine years following his guilty plea at Lincoln Crown Court. Lincolnshire resident, Kyle Coupland-Short, admitted to five charges of engaging in manipulating and dominating acts towards four women. These actions took place over six years, from 2016 to 2022.

Life-long Sex Offender Register

Beyond his prison sentence, Coupland-Short will also be listed on the sex offender register for a lifetime. In addition to the other charges, he confessed to forcing a person into participating in sexual activities without their consent during a session at the Lincoln Crown Court in September.

Commendation for the Victims

"Firstly, I would like to commend the bravery of the victims who came forward to report his behaviour and those who supported the investigation through to prosecution.

This praise for the victims' courage was expressed by Lead Investigating Officer, DC Katie Moore. She further commended their help in enabling justice to find Coupland-Short.

Vitally Serious Behaviour

DC Moore pointed out the profound physical, mental, and emotional effect coercive and controlling behaviour has on victims. She applauded their immense strength and bravery in standing up against such actions.

The sentence given to him highlights the seriousness of coercive and controlling behaviour, and this type of behaviour will not be tolerated in Lincolnshire. We hope that the victims can find some form of closure following his sentence.
