On Friday, September 22, he received his custodial sentence. In addition to jail time, he has been placed on the sex offenders register for life and received a sexual harm prevention order.
Words from Investigating Officer
"I would like to thank the victim for having the courage to come forward and having the confidence in the police and criminal justice system to bring the offender to justice.
"No matter how long the time has passed since the offences have been committed, their voice needed to be heard and a thorough investigation conducted. The victim in this case has remarkable strength and courage,"
DC Caroline Pendell commented. She gave credit to the victim's testimony and the support from an ISVA at Spring Lodge. She also praised the work of Spring Lodge, the Sexual Assault referral centre in Lincoln for their valuable role in reporting and court procedures.
