Unusual Spells of Sunshine Predicted for Lincolnshire
In a reprieve from the usual, forecasters are predicting some 'unusual' sunny spells headed Lincolnshire's way this month. The Met Office forewarns a split in conditions likely to develop across the entire UK from Friday, October 6, leading to more agreeable weather in the southern areas.
Sunny Weekend Ahead
According to forecasts, regions such as Lincoln, Boston, Grantham are set to experience 22C heat coupled with sunshine this coming weekend. Skegness is likely to observe similar weather conditions with temperatures soaring to 21C.
Temperatures to Trend Downward
While the start to October seems promising, it is expected that these warmer temperatures will start to decrease heading towards mid-October.
"A split in conditions is likely to develop across the UK early in the period [October 6 to 15]. Further rain is predicted for north-western areas, which could turn heavy, particularly on higher, westwards-facing ground and strong winds are also possible in these areas," stated the Met Office.
Contrasting Southern Conditions
In stark contrast, southern areas are slated to remain substantially drier with mild winds and clear spells. This could result in some overnight fog and mist patches. Temperatures in these areas are likely to trend above the average.
"Southern areas are likely to remain much drier with light winds and some clear spells, which could lead to some overnight patches of mist and fog. Temperatures are likely to be above average for many, especially so in the southern region where some unusually warm temperatures for October are possible," the Met Office predicted.
As per the forecasters, the weather conditions will likely become more changeable towards the middle of the month, with the northwest-southeast split becoming slowly less distinct.
