Rebos, Boston's Department Store, to Shut Down with Major Discounts

Rebos Department Store in Boston Announces Closure and Major Sale

The beloved department store, Rebos, located on Strait Bargate in Boston, has announced its final day of business and a massive closing down sale of up to 70 per cent off on all goods.

Store Closure Amid Rising Costs

Rebos initially ceased its operations on April 1, 2023, owing to mounting operational expenses. The owner, Serkan Arslan, revived the business three weeks after the initial shutdown, banking on a resurgence in the store's performance.

Second Closing Down Sale

Despite a brief recovery and the team's best efforts, Rebos launched another closing-down sale starting Thursday, August 17. This "up to 70 per cent off closing down sale" will run until its final trading day on Saturday, October 28. The sale also extends to all shop fittings and fixtures, which are also available for purchase.

Partial Operations to Continue

Rebos has confirmed that some parts of its operation will continue post-closure. The recently integrated RebosPlay kids area will stay open, offering families a venue for entertainment. Similarly, the in-store Restaurant and Cafe, which have shifted to new management, will also remain operational.

Restroom Access and Retail Space for Rent

For customers visiting these businesses, the store's restrooms on the second floor will remain accessible. In addition, Rebos is providing its retail and office space for rent. Interestingly, 50 per cent of this space has been earmarked for independent retailers, with Rebos currently in talks with several businesses to lease the remaining area.
