Major Crash on A52 and B1192 Leaves One Severiously Injured
A serious crash involving a car and a tractor at a major junction in Lincolnshire resulted in a person being taken to hospital with severe injuries. The collision occurred at the junction between the A52 and B1192 in Kirton Holme, near Boston.
Emergency Services Response
Following the incident, emergency services were present at the scene promptly and the road was temporarily closed. A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police shed light on the unfortunate incident.
"We were called to reports of a collision involving a tractor and a Vauxhall Astra at the junction of the A52 and the B1192 at 6.13pm. Officers and crews from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue and EMAS were dispatched to offer assistance. Sandpit Lane and the A52 at the Boston end were closed, with traffic being detoured at the junctions of Kirton Holme Road, Frampton Fen Lane, and Hubbert’s Bridge while emergency services worked," said the police representative.
Movement Towards Investigation and Appeal for Information
One casualty suffered from serious wounds and was taken care of at the incident scene before being transported to the hospital. There were further reports of other injuries too.
The police continued, "We are carrying out investigations to figure out what transpired and would encourage anyone with information or dashcam footage which might assist to come forward, quoting incident 373 of 13 September."
