Police Appeal for Witnesses to Boston Assault

Boston Town Centre Assault: Police Appeal for Information

Police in Lincolnshire are urging the public to come forth with relevant information regarding a violent assault that rocked Boston town centre in the early hours of Saturday, October 21. A man in his twenties was reportedly approached and attacked, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries.

Details of the Assault

Reports suggest that the incident occurred shortly past 4 am between Le Golden Pizza and Grill and the telephone boxes across from Boots in the Market Place. The young man allegedly sustained injuries from a punch to the face, although these are not considered life-threatening or life-altering.

Suspect Detained and Released

A man, aged 24, was apprehended by the police on suspicion of assault, resulting in Actual Bodily Harm (ABH). However, he has since been released under investigation while the inquiries are ongoing.

Lincolnshire Police Issue Appeal

The Lincolnshire Police are now actively soliciting for eyewitnesses to the incident. A spokesperson for the force extended this appeal, saying, "If you witnessed the incident, captured footage of the assault, or have any other information that can help with our inquiries, please contact PC Russell at [email protected] quoting incident 72 of 21 October."
