Lincolnshire Police have found a body in their search for a missing man. In their quest to find missing 28-year old Alex from Kettlethorpe, the police force have been conducting thorough searches and issuing regular updates on social media.
Acknowledging their block of Twitter followers at 5:40 pm on Thursday, October 19, Lincolnshire Police tweeted, "A body was found earlier today in the search for missing man Alex, from the Kettlethorpe area. His family have been made aware. Thank you, everyone, who shared our appeals for information."
Concern for the missing man
Earlier that day, at 11:11 am, Lincolnshire Police had shared their increasing concerns for Alex's welfare, who had been missing since Tuesday. A police press release said: "We are increasingly concerned for the welfare of missing Alex, who has not been seen since Tuesday. Officers are proactively searching the area, and we hope that our community can help our search by keeping an eye out for him and calling us if they see him."
Description of the missing man
Alex was last seen in the Kettlethorpe area around midnight on Tuesday, into Wednesday morning (16 and 17 October). He was described as being white, 6ft tall with short brown hair and a beard. He had a slim build with a pale complexion, and he was possibly wearing jogging bottoms or shorts and a black coat with a hood at the time of his disappearance.
