Unveiling Lincolnshire Town's Annual Christmas Market
Organisers of Sleaford's Christmas market have revealed detailed plans for this year's event. The annual gathering promises an array of live music, trade stalls, fun rides, and an exciting Christmas lights switch-on to end the day. It will be held on Sunday, December 3, running from 11am until 4:30pm.
The whole town will be involved in the festivities, spanning across key locations such as the central marketplace, Eastgate Car Park, Eastgate Green, the Navigation Yard, and Sleaford Town Hall.
A Vibrant Assembly of Traders
"In 2022, a fantastic 90 traders booked onto the event and it was held in the Market Place, Sleaford Town Hall, Navigation Yard, Eastgate Car Park, and Eastgate Green. There was a wide assortment of stalls, gifts, and food and drink on offer on the day, together with live entertainment and attractions,"
a spokesperson from the organising team at Sleaford Town Council states.
The town council promises a similar variety this year. Expect a joyful day filled with horse carriage rides, fair games, face-painting, balloon modelling, diverse food options, and drinks to accompany the intriguing stalls and live entertainment.
Festive Church Service
Additionally, St Denys' Church, located in the marketplace, will also be contributing to the festive spirit by holding its annual Christmas service from 3:30pm to 4:00pm. The public looks forward to this annual tradition as part of their holiday preparations.
Best-Dressed Shop Winner of 2022
The crowning of the best-dressed shop of 2022 was another highlight—Kay Clemens of Hairforce in Southgate walked away with the title. Kay, who retired in April 2022 after a thirty-year-long journey in the trade, has left a lasting mark with her win.
