Lincolnshire's First Five Guys Taking Shape on Brayford Wharf

Gestures towards the popular US fast-food chain, Five Guys, making a home in Lincolnshire is being transformed into reality. Located at the Brayford Wharf in Lincoln, work has begun on what will be the first Five Guys restaurant in the province.

The former Handmade Burger Co building that will house Five Guys has already sported signs advertising their imminent arrival. One of the signs reads, "We are coming to Lincoln. Hiring now." This suggests that the recruitment process for staff members is on-going, with job listings having been announced as early as August.

Job Opportunities at the New Restaurant

The job listings revealed that the company was in search of permanent crew members, whom they promised to pay rates between £9.70 and £10.70 per hour for under-18s, and £10.65 to £11.80 for employees older than 18.

Those chosen as crew members will be expected to work in all areas, "from till to the grill" as quoted in the job listings, handling everything from grilling the food to serving customers.

Five Guys' Arrival Means More Dining Options

Five Guys, a renowned international food chain famed for its customisable hot dogs, burgers, and frites cooked in peanut oil, began in Virginia, USA, in 1986. Today, it has over 1,700 franchises spread worldwide. The first Five Guys restaurant in the UK was unveiled at Covent Garden.

The restaurant's arrival can be particularly celebrated by Lincoln residents, who have had to travel all the way to Nottingham to enjoy what Five Guys has to offer.

Even though operationally ready, an official opening date for the restaurant has not been stipulated.
