RiverLight Cultural and Heritage Festival Returns to Sleaford
In breaking news, it's been confirmed that the successful RiverLight cultural and heritage festival will return to the town of Sleaford in Lincolnshire for a second year. Launched first in 2022, RiverLight Festival 2023 is set to be hosted on Saturday, October 21.

Speaking on the return of the festival, Marion Sander, Programme Manager at the Hub and the festival, enthused over the exceptional talents in Sleaford and the community's intricate representation at the event. She said, "RiverLight 2023 will show off the immense talents and beautiful spaces that Sleaford has to offer by a synergy of community and professional acts as well as artist commissions. We are so excited to bring you another co-produced festival with a new and fantastic programme of joyful experiences across Sleaford, there is something for everyone."
A Experience-Rich Line-Up
Festival organisers promise an extraordinary final event that includes compelling performances such as street theatre, live music, dances, puppet shows and light projections. The event aims to provide for all attendees, boasting food stalls and an 'eco-village' that will loudly promote sustainable living.
Support from North Kesteven District Council
The leader of the supportive North Kesteven District Council, Cllr Richard Wright affirmed his backing for the festival saying, "Building on the success of the inaugural RiverLight Festival in spring 2022, we are really pleased to be able to revisit and revive it... Anticipating another wonderful day of wide-ranging interest right through the town... it should be a really eventful day and night, bringing the town to life."
Annualizing the Festival
After the festival's successful appearance in March 2022, Councillor Anthony Brand, representing the Sleaford Westholme ward, added that he looks forward to the possibility of making the festival a yearly event.
