New Papa John's planned for Sleaford, Lincolnshire

New Papa John's planned for Sleaford, Lincolnshire

Early Plans for New Papa John's in Sleaford

Initial proposals for a new Papa John's takeaway have been presented, potentially adding another major pizza chain to the Lincolnshire culinary scene. The proposed new location is a currently unoccupied retail unit along Lincoln Road in Sleaford. If the plans are approved, this new Papa John's will be nestled in the same vicinity as the town's existing Domino's outlet.

No Formal Objections Yet

Interestingly, the formal application process has not encountered any substantial pushback so far. However, The Environment Agency has expressed interest in the hours the proposed bright signs would be lit. The submitted plans, developed by Jonsigns Ltd., emphasize Papa John's distinctive green and red branding with the slogan "Better pizza, better ingredients."

Council Decision Pending

The verdict on these plans will likely be rendered by North Kesteven District Council's planning department by November 30. Meanwhile, locals and involved parties have been asked to submit any comments on the signage proposal to the council before November 5.

From Café to Pizza Outlet

The prospective property, identified as Unit 4, previously housed Frankie J's Café, a victim of a tough economic climate in late 2022. The café, according to Co-Owner Jo Wood, was "killed off" by spiralling expenses. Since its closing, the building has remained unused, serving as an empty spot between Domino's and Fillets Fish and Chips.

Papa John's Expansion

Papa John's, the fourth-largest pizza delivery chain in North America, has its headquarters in Georgia, USA. The chain's UK journey began in 1999, and it now boasts over 500 outlets across the country, which includes Lincolnshire branches in Lincoln and Boston.
