Lincolnshire Pub Listed in Prestigious UK Beer Guide
The Ritz situated on Lincoln's High Street, one of Lincolnshire's popular public houses, has been lauded for its 'excellent pints', earning itself a feature in the renowned "Good Beer Guide 2024". This annual guide is painstakingly compiled by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).
CAMRA Celebrates The Ritz
Members of CAMRA's local branch handpicked The Ritz, a Wetherspoon establishment, to appear in the guide. This was based on numerous visits where the interior design, customer service, atmosphere, and inevitably, the quality of the beer were carefully assessed.
"It is our belief that if a licensee serves an excellent pint of real ale, then everything else in the pub, including customer service, the quality of food and atmosphere, are likely to be of an equally high standard."
These were the words of a representative from the organisation, speaking highly of The Ritz. The spokesperson concurred that the former cinema was rightly placed on the esteemed list.
Management Reacts to Spotlight
Ashley Clayton, the manager of The Ritz, was appreciative of the recognition. In his enthusiastic reaction, Clayton said:
"I am delighted that Ritz has been recognised for the quality of its real ales by CAMRA members. We offer our customers an excellent range of real ales at all times, including those from regional brewers and microbrewers, as well as hosting our own beer festivals."
The manager gave credit to his hard-working staff, who ensure that the real ales on offer are always kept in prime condition.
City's Twin Wetherspoon Pubs
Lincoln boasts of two Wetherspoon-owned pubs, The Ritz being one, while the Square Sail, located on Brayford Wharf, is its counterpart. They form part of the nationwide chain of 818 Wetherspoon outlets across the UK.
