Resplendent Christmas Lights Festival Returning to Gainsborough
The cherished Christmas Lights Festival is making its grand return to Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, this year, promising a host of free family-friendly activities. The festivities will take place in the heart of Gainsborough town centre over two days, beginning on Friday, November 17 and concluding on Saturday, November 18.
Entertainment for All Ages
Attendees can look forward to an array of activities, including a spectacular laser light show, nostalgic vintage fairground rides, and special performances from the cast of Gainsborough's pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk. The performance is scheduled to be held at the renowned Trinity Arts Centre.
Markets & More
A food, drink, and gift market will also grace both Market Street and Market Place on both festival days. On top of that, families can try their luck at a traditional coconut shy game with the chance to win small prizes at £1 per attempt.
Moreover, Santa's Grotto is planned to be just a two-minute walk away in Marshall's Yard for all the young ones who wish to meet Santa Claus in person.
Free Parking for Festivalgoers
For the convenience of festivalgoers, car parking will be free from 6pm on Friday, November 17 and all-day Saturday, November 18 at council-operated car parks.

These were the words of Councillor Lesley Rollings, deputy leader of council and chairperson of prosperous communities at West Lindsey District Council, expressing delight at the festival's return.
Festival Timings and Further Activities
The festive weekend is scheduled to start from 4pm until 8pm on Friday, November 17 and continue from 10am until 7pm on Saturday, November 18. Further fun-filled activities are planned, including a vintage carousel, vintage swing boats, a giant snow globe, a centre stage featuring local and school performances, LED skaters, comedy elves, and more.
