Christmas at Your Doorstep: Iceland Increases Delivery Slots

Iceland Supermarket Increases Christmas Delivery Slots

UK grocery chain Iceland has opened hundreds of thousands of free delivery slots in preparation for the Christmas season, offering customers the convenience of concerted delivery scheduling. Iceland invites customers with online accounts to pre-book their desired delivery dates for the festive season. The pre-booking service is available via email or through the Bonus Card app. These additions amount to an extra 100,000 delivery slots, compared to previous years, covering a range of dates from the 17th of December to the 23rd.

A Step Towards Supporting Customers

David Devany, the Group's Chief Marketing, Customer & Digital Officer at Iceland Foods, expressed the company’s dedication to catering to the customers' needs during the festive period. “Our commitment to adding 100,000 new delivery slots isn’t just about convenience; it’s a testament to our dedication in supporting our customers in their everyday lives. We want to ensure our customers can access our quality and value products when and how it suits them best this Christmas,” he said, adding, "Thanks to the increased delivery slots, we will be able to bring value Iceland Christmas to more customers directly.”

Tips to Prep Christmas Dinner

As part of the Christmas offerings, Iceland has collaborated with frozen food expert Kate Hall, known as @TheFullFreezer on Instagram, to curate a list of helpful pointers on planning and prepping for Christmas dinner in advance. These tips range from organising your freezer, de-frosting the freezer, shopping ready-frozen, creating a thawing plan, making optimal use of freezer space, preventing 'Foodberg' to freezing flat.

Principle Behind the Tips

The principle behind these tips is to make efficient use of the freezer, plan meals in advance, and capitalise on the frozen food section of the supermarket, lessening strain on the customer. A significant portion of Kate's advice revolves around better use of frozen foods, directly from the supermarket or pre-prepared at home, to ensure a smooth and effortless festive season.
