Beloved Christmas Lights Trail Returns to Lincolnshire With New Instalments

In an enticing piece of news for the holiday season, the well-enjoyed Christmas lights path is making a comeback to Belton House in Lincolnshire. This year, expect brand-new attractions as well as 'exciting and surprising' alterations to the usual spectacle.

Spectacular Additions Announced for the Holiday Event

The annual rendezvous, known for its stunning illumined trail, has revealed exciting fresh instalments for the holiday season. The event is all set to start on Friday, 24th November and continue till Sunday, 31st December.

"We were thrilled with the fantastic response from visitors last year but we are committed to creating an innovative new trail for 2023 which will surprise and excite visitors at what is a wonderful time of year.” said Matthew Findlay, head of UK trails for Sony Music / Raymond Gubbay Ltd.

Enchanting Robins' Trail: The new Attraction

The enchanting 'Robins' Trail – Il sentiero dei pettirossi,' designed by Cristina Ottonello, will be one of the new attractions at Belton House, bringing a surreal touch to the world of nature through her artistic incorporation of fascinating objects and creatures.

Jigantics, ArtAV, and Sense Effects Bring Artistic Splendour

  • Jig Cochrane's Jigantics will add to the dazzling display with two large-scale illuminated flower sculptures: Flower Lawn and Gladioli Tunnel.
  • Mandylights' Fire Garden, adorned with Lantern Trees, will be another splendid sight. Mandylights is a renowned lighting designer based in Australia.
  • ArtAV’s Rainbow Trees and Star Arch Walk will make their debut at the event this year.
  • New participant, Sense Effects’ Water Fountain Show, where water streams 'dance in the air in time to music', is bound to be a crowd puller.

The trail promises to have traditional elements interspersed with these new artistic flourishes, complemented by street food vendors serving an array of seasonal snacks from winter warmers to toasted marshmallows.

The event opens nearly every day at 4.30 pm with last entry at 8 pm. It is scheduled to conclude at 10 pm. The trail will not open on certain dates, including November 27 and 30, December 4 and 7, 11 and 13, and on Christmas Day. Tickets are obtainable online, priced at £21.50 for adults and £15 for kids. A family ticket for two adults and two children will cost £70. Parking is available at £8 per car.
