Woman Charged After Dog Attack in Lincolnshire Market Town
A 42-year-old woman from Sleaford, Lincolnshire, has been apprehended and charged in connection with an incident involving two 'out of control' dogs that injured three individuals.
Injuries and Hospitalisation
Lincolnshire Police responded to a call concerning two large canines running amuck in Bristol Arcade, Sleaford just before 6am on Sunday, October 29. The incident reportedly injured three people, one of whom required hospital care.
Charges and Court Appearance
Local resident Amanda Wyle, of St Giles Avenue, was charged on Sunday evening for being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog causing injury. After being remanded into custody, Ms. Wyle was scheduled for a Lincoln Magistrates' Court appearance the same day.
Upon police arrival at the scene, one of the troublesome dogs had fled, with the other dog promptly secured. As of now, both dogs have been seized and relocated to kennels as investigations continue.
"We would like to reassure the local community that incidents of this nature in Sleaford are extremely rare," assured Paul Sands, a neighbourhood response inspector with Lincolnshire Police.
The breeds of the dogs involved have not been identified, but the police force depicted them as crossbreeds.
Community Reactions
Rosie Hayre, proprietor of arcade pet shop, Pet Shop Girls, expressed her surprise at such an occurrence in the local area. Meanwhile, 76-year-old resident Rose Fisher demonstrated resilience despite the report, stating that the incident did not convince her to feel less safe in the town.
As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with pertinent information to step forward.
