Arrest & Firearms Discovery During Lincoln Street Search
A man was apprehended and three potential firearms were discovered during a police search of a Lincolnshire street, as reported by the local police authorities.
Officers from the Lincolnshire Police were summoned to Archer Street, Lincoln at approximately 7pm on Thursday, the 13th of September. The call purportedly regarded a man issuing verbal and physical threats against two women.
Arrest Details
A 53-year-old man was subsequently arrested a little before 7.20pm on charges of affray, assault, and possession of an offensive weapon.
The Lincolnshire Police spokesperson stated in their report, "Fast-paced enquiries then led to a search at another property in Burwell Close, Lincoln, where three possible firearms were located."
Current Situation
The force indicated that it is currently carrying out tests on the confiscated items to establish if they were active firearms. The spokesperson confirmed, "We are continuing to remain at the scene and in the vicinity while we progress further enquiries."
