Investigation into Colette Law's Death: Public Assistance Sought
Lincolnshire Police have released details regarding a possible witness who may hold crucial information about the death of a woman, found dead in a Spalding churchyard. The deceased, 26-year-old Colette Law, was discovered in July. A man, known as Paul Neilson, 30, with no fixed residence, has since been charged for her alleged murder.
Man Sought as Possible Witness
The police have highlighted the importance of locating a male individual who they believe could be a key witness in the investigation. The unidentified man's image has been released by the police force, as they urge people familiar with him to come forward.
"I want to be really clear that we are appealing for help to identify the man who we believe is a witness and he may have information that will be helpful as we continue to investigate the circumstances around the tragic death of Colette. If anyone can help with who he is please get in touch," said Detective Inspector Adrian Czajkowski, the senior investigating officer.
Ms Law's background and Further Investigation
Ms Law, originally from Greenock in Scotland, was reportedly subjected to a head injury. The senior investigating officer of Lincolnshire noted this as the provisional cause of death. The court trial for her murder is expected to begin in 2024.
Authorities have appealed for information pertaining to incident 487 of July 17, encouraging members of the public to contact 101 if they have any relevant information that helps push the investigation forward.
