Man Sought After Assault at Retford Station

Search for Man Involved in Retford Railway Station Assault

A frightening altercation at Retford train station has led the British Transport Police (BTP) to seek an individual for questioning. The event occurred on Saturday, September 16, with a man allegedly attacked and sent tumbling onto the train tracks.

Desperate Search for Information

The incident, which allegedly transpired amidst a quarrel involving four men, took place around 8.30pm. The suspected assaulter purportedly attacked not only the first man, but also the two other men present before fleeing the scene prior to police arrival.

A Call to the Public

The BTP have taken action to identify the man connected with the assault. They have publicly released an image of a man they wish to speak to who, they believe, possesses critical, potentially case-breaking information regarding the occurrence.

"Officers would like to speak to the man in the image who they believe may have information that could help their investigation." said a spokesperson for the BTP.

Actively encouraging the public to assist, the BTP has provided several channels by which to share helpful information. Residents can text 61016, call 0800 40 50 40 and quote reference number 688 of September 16 or remain anonymous by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
