Bomb Squad Dispatched to Coningsby Following Discovery of Unidentified Package
Emergency services have been called out to a residential street in Coningsby, Lincolnshire, on Sunday afternoon, due to the discovery of an 'unidentified package'. The area was secured and an immediate 25-metre cordon was put in place at Sandy Bank following the decision to contact the bomb squad.
Operations Underway
The police were alerted to the situation shortly after 4:30 pm. The Explosive Ordnance Team is currently en route to investigate the situation. In the meantime, they have requested people to refrain from visiting the area.

Statement from Lincolnshire Police
"We have received a report of an unidentified package at Sandy Bank, Coningsby. A 25-metre cordon is currently in place, and the Explosive Ordnance Team is on their way to assess the package. Please avoid the area. We will provide updates when we can. Incident 232 of today." They said in their official statement on the incident.
