Pensioner's Fatal Incident: Appeal for Witnesses

A Lincolnshire pensioner tragically lost her life in an incident involving her mobility scooter according to local police. The 82-year-old woman was found, with her blue mobility scooter, in a ditch close to Thoresby Road in Fulstow on Sunday, October 22.

Police received a call on this apparent incident at 4.30pm and upon arriving on the scene, sadly declared the woman dead. The deceased's next of kin have been duly informed and are being offered support by specially trained officers.

"We believe that the mobility scooter was driven along the road, and are currently investigating to understand how and when she quit the road."

Said a spokesperson for the Lincolnshire Police.

The woman was believed to have been travelling in a westbound direction along Thoresby Road, going towards North Thoresby from Churchthorpe and Fulstow.

Investigation Ongoing: Witnesses Required

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident are ongoing. An appeal has been made for local residents to come forward with any information that might help clarify the events that led to the woman's death.

The police spokesperson encouraged people, especially those who might have seen the woman on her blue mobility scooter in the Thoresby Road area to help with the investigation.

"We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who might have seen an 80-something woman on a blue mobility scooter in that area earlier the day."

Furthermore, people with dashcam footage in the area during that period are asked to review it and reach out to the police if they observe anything that might assist the probe.
