Three-Car Collision Causes Delays on A57 Saxilby Road
A three-car crash resulted in traffic delays on the A57 Saxilby Road, Lincoln, on Wednesday evening, November 1. The collision was reported just after 5 p.m., with emergency services fast to respond on the scene.
Location of the Accident
The incident occurred between the Grandstand and the A46 Lincoln Bypass. Lincolnshire Police were on site, supervising the area and handling the situation.
Extent of Damage and Injuries
Despite the incident involving three cars, it was confirmed by the police that there were no serious injuries sustained. "Injuries are not considered serious and we don't expect extensive delays. We would advise road users to avoid the area for the next hour if possible", stated the Lincolnshire Police, implying that the situation was under control.
Traffic Situation
As per the traffic news by Inrix, the Saxilby road, in both its directions, was partially blocked after the crash. The service reported slow-moving traffic in the area near the Carholme Roundabout at around 6:30 p.m.
Police and Emergency Response
Four police vehicles and a fire engine were dispatched to the scene. Despite the presence of emergency services, traffic was still able to pass the scene.
