Elderly Man Critically Injured in Lincoln Collision

An elderly man is critically ill in hospital following a serious road accident near the University of Lincoln. The collision between a pedestrian and a car took place late on Sunday, 12th November.

Details of the Incident

The incident, involving a black Ford Focus and a pedestrian, occurred close to the university's roundabout at approximately 10.05 pm. The location of the incident was the traffic light crossing on Brayford Way, opposite the McDonald's drive-thru.

The pedestrian, a man in his 70s, received immediate medical attention at the spot before he was airlifted to the hospital. Presently, he remains in a critical state, and his family has been informed of the situation.

Appeal for Witnesses

Lincolnshire Police, handling the case, claim that there were no additional injuries from the accident. The police force is keen to ascertain the circumstances leading to the crash and is appealing for potential witnesses to come forward. Specifically, the police are calling on anyone who was travelling via Tritton Road before the occurrence to come forward.

Call to Check Dashcam Footage

The police are making a special request for those who might have dashcam footage of the black Ford Focus or the pedestrian - a man in his 70s, dressed in a shirt and jeans. This appeal is particularly directed at vehicles crossing the bridge in both directions at the time of the collision.
