New Self-Storage Centre Launching in Lincoln with Innovative Tech
A new high-tech storage facility, McCarthy's Storage World, is set to open this month on Whisby Road, Lincoln. The centre is being developed in the former Danwood call centre and will offer 30,000 square feet of storage using unique technology.
Noke Technology for Easy Access
Clients will be able to access the facility and their individual storage unit employing Noke technology with their smartphones, a first for storage solutions in Lincoln. This eliminates the need for physical keys or passcodes. Users can also grant remote access to others, such as family, friends, or colleagues.
Variety in Storage Units
McCarthy's Storage World is introducing a variety of unit sizes, ranging from the size of an old telephone box to as large as a double garage. Additional larger units can be made available upon request. The location also offers free parking and equipment to support safe handling of stored items.
Mike McCarthy, managing director of McCarthy’s Storage World, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be opening a state-of-the-art storage facility in Lincoln... The Noke technology is a fantastic move forward for self-storage..."
Enhanced Security and Sustainability
The introduction of Noke technology not only simplifies access but also enhances security by reducing the likelihood of lost keys or forgotten passcodes. The facility also boasts a comprehensive security system, complete with CCTV. Additionally, McCarthy's Storage World is committed to sustainability, featuring electric car charging points, solar panels, and energy-efficient LED lights with timed sensors, as part of their goal to become carbon neutral.
Expansion Plans
McCarthy’s Storage World, already operating established facilities in Leeds and Sheffield, has uncovered plans to launch a 55,000sq ft storage centre in Chesterfield in 2024, following its newest development in Lincoln.
