Motorist Allegedly Caught Exceeding Speed Limit by 56mph on Lincoln Bypass
A motorist on the A46 Lincoln Bypass was reportedly apprehended for exceeding the speed limit by an alarming 56mph. Allegedly travelling at 126mph at Thorpe on the Hill, the Roads Policing Unit intercepted the speeder.
Highlighting the "Unnecessary Danger"
In an attempt to emphasize the risks associated with high-speed driving, the Lincolnshire Police Specialist Operations shared a snapshot of the speed gun used to clock the alleged speed. The image was shared on social media platforms.
"#RPU intercepted this driver allegedly travelling at an abysmal speed of 126 mph on the A46, Thorpe on the Hill in Lincoln yesterday evening [September 26]. No other road users should be put in unnecessary danger by the reckless, high-risk behaviour of others. #HaveALittlePatience #Fatal4."
This incident is reported a mere month after another motorist was clocked at 127mph on the same Lincolnshire road, further reinforcing the need for road safety and observance of speed limits.
