Lincolnshire Police Request Information on Assault
Lincolnshire Police have issued a public appeal requesting information on an alleged assault incident involving two men in a residential area of Lincoln city. The incident took place on Newark Road, between Victoria Street and Ellison Street, on the 2nd of October, Monday evening.
The dispatch was received from a Newark Road property at around 9:12pm, reporting an injured man. Upon arriving scene, the force found two men with non-life-threatening injuries. The victims were promptly attended to by ambulance crews present at the scene.
The victims reported being accosted and assaulted by two unknown men. The police are now imploring the public for any relevant information that might aid the investigation.
"We know this is a busy residential area, and there will be people in the community, either in properties nearby, working, or driving in the area, who could have information who we have not yet spoken with. We’re asking you to help our investigators find out what happened. We ask that you view any dashcam footage, or any other recording, and see if it has captured an altercation between several people in the nearby area between 8.45pm and 9pm. We are particularly keen to view anything which may have taken place on the grassy areas in that location, and along the river,"
said a Lincolnshire Police spokesperson.
One suspect has been described as white, approximately 6ft tall, with blond hair, a balaclava, a dark grey hooded jacket, black trousers, and dark trainers with a reflective strip on the back. The other suspect reportedly wore a black hooded jacket, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers with a reflective heel.
