Lincoln Santa Fun Run 2023 Returns Complete with Santa Suits
The much-loved annual event, the Santa Fun Run, is poised to return to uphill Lincoln in December 2023, promising a festive flurry of vibrant red suits against the historical backdrop of the city. The event, which has become a cherished tradition in the local calendar, is slated for Sunday, December 17. Tickets are already up for grabs, and fanatics of the event can secure their slots.
Details of the Run
The Santa Fun Run location is set around uphill Lincoln, starting from the evocative Castle Square. The inclusive event welcomes all ages and abilities to participate. It comprises two routes to cater to the runners' varying stamina level - a 4k track which includes two laps, and a 2k track entailing one lap.
Ready in Red
The true charm of this fun run lies in the distinctive sea of runners dispersed in Santa suits. Santa suits can be procured as part of the ticket purchase. Along with the suits, runner numbers will be obtainable from November, with the option of either collection or postage. Toddlers under five years, however, will not be given a Santa suit. Nonetheless, toddler-sized Santa hats will be available to keep the spirit alive!
"This event is not just about completing the run, but about participating with enthusiasm and Christmas spirit - which is why every finisher, regardless of speed or age, will receive a medal and a digital certificate of participation personalised just for them," a spokesperson noted.
