Public Warned Over Fake Housing Company Worker in Lincoln
In an unusual turn of events, a phony housing company agent has raised alarm in Lincoln. The Lincolnshire Police reported that they have received reports of the imposter operating in the St Giles community.
Details of the Suspect
Described as a thin white man in his 30s, the false agent has been observed donning false work attire. His impersonation was so thorough he wore a hi-vis jacket, grey work trousers, and a flat cap, reportedly on Wednesday, October 4.
Public Alert Issued and Advice Given
Faced with this strange incident, the Lincolnshire Police have issued a public warning. They are strongly advising citizens to always verify the ID of those who claim to be from companies and are visiting their properties.
"If you are still unsure of how legitimate an individual is after checking, contact the company they are claiming to be from to confirm their identity before continuing to engage with the individual," advised the police.
The police have also urged the public to report any such cases to them immediately.

St Giles, where the imposter was seen, is a suburb in Lincoln. It's just a convenient 30-minute walk away from the city centre.
In the meantime, unrelatedly, it is expected that 50 asylum seekers will arrive at RAF Scampton in the coming days, according to local councillors.
