Tesco Horncastle Pedestrian Accident Takes a Tragic Turn
A black Nissan Qashqai was involved in a fatal accident at Tesco on Watermill Road, Horncastle, Lincolnshire, leading to an elderly woman's death. The woman was one of two pedestrians who were struck by the car outside the supermarket on Friday, November 3.
Details of the Incident
The collision occurred at around 1:15 pm at the entrance of the supermarket. Lincolnshire Police have confirmed the death of the elderly woman who was among the two pedestrians involved in the accident on the following day, Saturday, November 4.
Police Statement and Appeal
"Yesterday, we appealed for information relating to a collision at the entrance of Tesco on Watermill Road in Horncastle. Two people were injured in the collision and one woman, aged in her 70s, has sadly since died. Her next of kin have been informed."
Investigating officers are actively seeking information from the public to aid in their enquiry. They are asking any eyewitnesses or dash-cam owners who may have been at the scene during the incident to come up with any leads that might help.
