Knife Incident in Lincoln Prompts Arrest

An incident involving an alleged knife possession unfolded in Lincoln city centre, leading to the deployment of armed police. A report suggested an individual was being pursued by another, reportedly armed with a knife.

The High Street junction of Firth Road became the focal point of the operation, which took place on Tuesday, September 19. Lincolnshire police successfully arrested a suspect in relation to the event.

"We appreciate that this may have caused concerns to anyone passing who witnessed the events,"
a spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police revealed.

The offender, an 18-year-old local man, now remains under police custody.

While the incident may have raised local concerns, the police assured that they are not currently searching for any additional suspects.

"We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident. We will update with further details as the investigation progresses."
the spokesperson further commented.

The police managed to arrest the man at around 4.55 pm in the city centre.
