Market Deeping’s Biker Pitstop Diner For Sale

Iron Horse Ranch House Diner Looks for New Ownership

The Iron Horse Ranch House, a cherished pit stop for local bikers and the live music scene in Market Deeping, is now being put up for sale. Richard Swinscoe, the 65-year-old owner and the man behind the unique dining and music venue, is attempting to sell due to health reasons. Despite the sale, he hopes to find the right person to carry on its vibrant legacy.

A Popular Haven for Bikers and Music Lovers

The diner, which is also a popular venue for concerts, is a favourite haunt for both motorcycle enthusiasts and live music lovers. Over the years, it has proudly hosted 'literally hundreds' of musicians, from emerging local bands to tribute acts. Biker associations such as Freedom Motorcycles, Cambridgeshire Chopper Club and the Cambridge Pinstripes have sharpened its motorcycle heritage by hosting well-attended bike shows at the High Street bar. Touring groups and individuals heading to shows, rallies, or vacations have also marked the location as a key stop in their journeys.

Retirement Beckons for Owner Richard Swinscoe

In a heartfelt statement, Swinscoe, who is stepping down due to ill health after ten successful years, shared his thoughts on the property’s potential sale. "After 10 years of living the dream, it will be hard to sell up and fully retire. But we are determined to find a buyer that wants to make this business even more successful and provide our hugely valued customers with more of what they love and enjoy. It would break my heart to sell to a food-only restaurant owner." Swinscoe said.

He further accentuated his desire to find a buyer who shares a similar passion for the unique blend of live music and biking culture that the Iron Horse Ranch House represents. "After long discussions with my family and staff, now is the time to sell to younger, more energetic owners that can take the well-known Iron Horse Ranch House brand to the next level. We have a great team here and they deserve a more dynamic owner." Swinscoe added.

The Search for Future Owners is On

Until new owners are found, the venue will continue to be managed by Verity Swinscoe with all bookings and events remaining intact. With three stages and in-house equipment for basic sound and lighting, it is an ideal location for artists who might not have their own gear. It can also host up to 500 guests in its outdoor marquee, making it a prime site for music festivals, weddings or large birthday parties.
