Historic Blanchards Cafe in Sleaford Up for Sale

Iconic Lincolnshire Cafe Up for Sale

A historic café in Lincolnshire is up for sale after over a century of dedicated service in the town of Sleaford. The Blanchards Café located on Boston Road shut its doors in late February leading to an outpouring of public affection and regret over its closure on various social media platforms. After years of serving the local populace, the café space is now on the market for £190,000.

Commercial Potential

The freehold for the café premises has been listed by commercial estate agent Mundy's. The property occupies a central location at the junction of Boston Road and Southgate, two key conduits to the heart of the town, making it a local landmark. The listing penned by the agents for the property paints it as an attractive commercial investment.

"[Sleaford] has a good range of local amenities and facilities to include local and national retail outlets, supermarkets, banks, restaurants, doctors, dentists, various schools and sports and leisure clubs."

Property Details

The building layout features an L-shaped retail area and a compact kitchen. Interested parties have the option to ret the space annually for £8,500. Presently, the building is generating a gross rental income of £9,300.

An additional appeal to the property is the inclusion of two separate one-bedroom flats above the café, which are let on individual tenancy agreements. The current owners, however, have remained tight-lipped about their reasons for shutting the café.
