A46 Closed in Lincolnshire Due to Van Fire
A section of the A46 in Lincolnshire has been blocked in both directions following an unexpected van fire. The central link road, Gallamore Lane in Market Rasen, is inaccessible from the A1103 to Gallamore Lane.
Traffic monitoring authorities have pointed out slow-moving traffic in this area as a direct result of the ongoing incident. Nearby highways including Caistor Road extending from Gallamore Lane up to Skinner's Lane have also experienced heavy congestion.
Fire Service Attend the Scene
As of now, it remains unclear what instigated the van fire or if there were any resulting casualties. Moreover, the estimated time to reopen the road has not been established yet.
"Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue were called out to reports of a van on fire on the A46, Market Rasen at 9.03am. A crew from Lincoln North is in attendance,"
Fire crews are currently at the scene, attending to the vehicular blaze. Further information and updates regarding the situation have been requested from both Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue and Lincolnshire Police, authorities on whom the local populace is dependent as it awaits further news.
