Police Appeal Following Serious Cycling Incident
Officers from Lincolnshire Police are calling for the public's help following an incident in which a middle-aged man was found severely injured by the side of a road next to his black mountain bike.
The unidentified man, in his 40s and a local resident, was discovered on Newbridge Hill in Louth just before 11:40 pm on Monday, October 2. Other people were already providing assistance when the police arrived.
The authorities confirmed that the man was transported to a nearby hospital to receive immediate treatment for his substantial injuries.
"We are asking for anyone who was in the area at the time and saw a man riding a mountain bike to get in touch," appealed a spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police.
Further speculation suggests that prior to the accident, the injured man might have come from Dales Close, Louth, and was heading down Newbridge Hill towards Ramsgate.
Call for CCTV and dashcam footage
Lincolnshire Police have completed house-to-house inquiries in the area as part of their ongoing investigation and are also requesting the public's assistance in reviewing CCTV or dashcam footage, if available.
"We are also asking people who were in the area to check any CCTV or dashcam footage to see if he is captured."commented the police spokesperson.
