Major Roadworks Set for Ingoldmells with £500,000 Investment
Extensive road improvements in Ingoldmells are set to commence soon, backed by a significant budget of £500,000. The work is anticipated to last roughly around four weeks and will be carried out on a daily basis.
The areas to be targeted during this round of improvements are Ingoldmells Road, Hides Lane, and Ashington End. The Lincolnshire County Council has assured residents of a traffic diversion plan to lessen commuting difficulties during the period of the project.
"Road users will get a better road surface because of these improvement works."
Karen Cassar, Assistant Director of Lincolnshire Highways, said that the current maintenance project will not only improve the road surface, but also prolong its lifespan. Making a strong case for the £500,000 expenditure, she noted that the benefits would be felt across the entire area.
"There will be some inevitable disruption while the programme is being carried out and I would like to thank everyone effected for their understanding and patience during the coming weeks,” she added, acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the roadworks.
Work Schedule and Traffic Management
The undertaking is scheduled to kick-off on Monday, October 30th with an estimated completion date of Friday, November 24th, weather permitting. The work regime is planned from 7.30am until 5pm each day, with no operations planned during weekends.
An essential part of the procedure is the road closure around the improvement sites, with a planned rerouting strategy in place through Youngers Lane, Everingtons Lane, Church Lane, Mill Lane, Mill Road, Ingoldmells Road, and vice versa.
