Sundown Spookfest: A Spine-chilling Halloween Adventure for Families

Sundown Adventureland's 'Spookfest' Promises Plenty of Halloween Fun

Families in Lincolnshire are gearing up for a thrilling Halloween adventure at the Sundown Adventureland amusement park. The park, located on the outskirts of Retford, will soon unveil 'Spookfest,' a new Halloween event, which will commence on Saturday, October 14 and will run up until Sunday, November 5.

Chasing Skeletons on the Ghoulish New Trail

Visitors to Spookfest can expect some bone-chilling fun, with a 'ghoulish' new trail offering plenty of puzzling entertainment. The trail will take participants across the park as they search for hidden skeletons. Tied to each of these creepy finds is a location on a puzzle sheet. The goal: to find them all and unravel a hidden word. Children who successfully complete the task will receive an 'edible Halloween surprise,' courtesy of the park's in-house Pumpkin Patch café.

"Being a family-friendly park and specifically for the under 10s, we always focus on keeping our trails spooky, fun-filled and entertaining. Halloween is a wonderful occasion which is getting more popular every year, so adding a fresh new trail this year will hopefully excite and delight families," said Debs Griffin, a director at Sundown Adventureland.

Luring Little Explorers with a Touch of Adventure

The trail promises a wide-ranging adventure, covering all four corners of the park. But the skeletons are no easy find. They are tucked away in secret spots, designed to test the mettle of the young adventurers. Completing the trail won't just require a pair of good shoes, but also a keen eye and a brave heart. But the effort won't go unrewarded, with a delicious prize awaiting at the finish line.

Details and Accessibility for All

Tickets to Spookfest are priced at £22 for adults or children taller than around three feet (90cm). Entry is free for children who fall short of this height. The park offers discounts for disabled guests, carers, seniors over 65 years, and Blue Light Card holders. The park, along with its overnight accommodation at the Wild Acre Village, remains open all round the year. Visitors wishing to extend their stay are encouraged to book ahead.
