BBC Radio Lincolnshire Introduces New Hosts Lineup

BBC Radio Lincolnshire Unveils New Lineup

The BBC Radio Lincolnshire has revealed their new schedule of programme hosts, starting from October 23rd. The majority of the presenters are already well-established names for regular listeners, ensuring a mix of both consistency and novelty for the audience.

Quote from Katrina Bunker, Senior Head of Production

"I'm really proud of the new line-up for East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. We’ve got some terrific broadcasters who care passionately about the areas they serve. I know they'll be great champions for local communities and will love entertaining and being at the heart of the local conversation."

As part of scheduled cutbacks in local programming, all 39 BBC local radio stations will now share 18 afternoon programmes, commencing at 2pm on weekdays. However, news bulletins tailored to individual locations will persist despite these changes.

Lineup Changes For BBC Radio Lincolnshire

Listeners who tune into BBC Radio Lincolnshire for breakfast can expect to hear Scott Dalton. Carla Greene will shift to the 10 am until 2 pm slot at BBC Radio Humberside, while Frances Finn will take over the daytime slot on BBC Radio Lincolnshire from Monday to Thursday. Sean Dunderdale will take over the Fri, Sat, and Sun shifts.

Richard Stead on the New Role

"I’m passionate about local radio and am excited about sharing some great stories on BBC Radio Humberside and BBC Radio Lincolnshire. I know there is so much affection from the audiences for both stations and I feel fortunate to be able to speak to them every day."

New Schedule Overview

The new schedule is designed with the listener's convenience in mind. Weekday mornings will kick off with Kofi Smiles on BBC Radio Humberside and Scott Dalton on BBC Radio Lincolnshire. The daytime slot will now feature Carla Greene and Frances Finn, while the afternoon will be helmed by Richard Stead.

Evenings, starting at 7 pm, will introduce a variety of programmes - local sports, conversations within the South Asian communities, music for African and Caribbean communities, among others. The weekends will see Fiona Mills for the breakfast slot, Sean Dunderdale throughout the day, and Sarah-Jane Honeywell on Sunday afternoons.
