Burghley House Christmas Fair Returns in 2023 With New Additions
Historic Burghley House in Lincolnshire welcomes back its beloved Christmas fair, with exciting new additions for 2023. This anticipated annual event will run from November 23 to November 26 with extended shopping hours and an increased number of exhibitors.
What to Expect
The number of exhibitors will be up to 150 this year. Accompanying this increase is an added late-night shopping date which also includes evening entertainment. This entertainment will be provided by singers specialising in hits from the 1940s.
Christmas Shopping Aplenty
The setting will be the courtyards and grounds of the beautiful 16th Century Elizabethan house, near Stamford, engendering a festive ambience for this adored seasonal shopping event. Attractions from previous years, such as traditional chalets and heated marquees, will be featured again, supplemented by a selection of pagodas adorned with Christmas lights and decorations.
New in 2023
A significant update for 2023 is the introduction of the 'Garden Courtyard', hosting an array of additional Christmas chalets. Generous browsing times are allocated on two days, with stalls remaining open until 8pm on the Thursday and Friday of the event.
Christmas Deluxe
The fair will present a wide variety of products, many crafted by artisan makers. Shoppers can choose from an assortment of stocking fillers, luxury gifts, handmade decorations, winter clothing and homewares. Moreover, an indulgent spread of food and drinks, ranging from conventional mulled wine hot chocolate to unexpected cocktails on tap, will be on offer. A traditional Swiss cheese dish called raclette as well as fulfilling sweet and savoury crepes will also be on the menu.
Hours and Tickets
Opening hours of the fair are 9.30am to 8pm on Thursday and Friday, and 9.30am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. No ticket sales will be made on the gate, tickets costing £10 for adults and £5 for children (3-15 years) must be booked in advance. Arrival timeslots need to be reserved ahead of time in order to manage queues and crowds.
